HTFF Current Community Engagements
HTFF is organizing a community bus trip to Tallahassee to speak directly with state leaders about voting rights, redistricting fairness, and resources for families impacted by violence. This trip aims to advocate for important policy changes and support vulnerable communities.
As Duval County moves through another redistricting cycle, community members continue to raise concerns about transparency, equity, and fair representation. Grassroots advocates and neighborhood leaders have cited issues ranging from inconsistent map proposals to a lack of meaningful public input—especially from historically marginalized communities.
HTFF has been on the ground documenting resident feedback, hosting information sessions, and pushing for a process that protects Black voting power instead of diluting it.
